Week Four at my New Job

Week four is almost done at my new jobs.

Unfortunately, the projects are going a little slower than they should because me getting anything done is entirely dependent on other people doing things (like installing a new web server or emailing me information). With school about to start, everybody at the university seems really busy doing stuff, so they're slow to do what I need them to do. It leads to a lot of down time at work.

But I still like it. It's a good job for me right now.

In other news ... life is relatively boring. I downloaded the Orange Box from Valve because I missed a bunch of great games when I was in China. I just finished playing Portal - and I loved it! It's fantastic. Such a short game - but the humor in it was perfect.

The Box also had Team Fortress 2, which is pretty cool. I think it'll be more fun when I can last longer than 20 seconds without being lit on fire by some pyro jackass.

I went to dinner and a movie with my new friend Aubrey - she's pretty cool. She's in Portland this week, so I won't see her. But my Uncle Randy is driving through SLC, so on Saturday I get to see him! It's been at least 6 years since I saw Uncle Randy. He was always my favorite uncle when I was growing up.

I love cooking. It's so nice to have a well-equipped kitchen again.

Really weird dreams lately - more on that later! Because right now, I don't remember them. I just remember they're abnormal.

AND I may have made a new friend online. I'm going to hang out with him and see. I've really got to meet more people and get out sometimes.
